Couples Therapy
Learn to respond in awareness rather than react out of fear
I call on the wisdom of a number of teachers when I work with couples. Paraphrasing Marshall Rosenberg, who developed NVC (www.nonviolentcommunication.com), I encourage couples in conflict to listen to each other deeply, to listen below the content to the needs that influence the other person’s words. We often react out of old wounds, patterns, and habits. In this approach, couples learn how to respond in awareness to the underlying feelings, needs, and perceptions. This clarity enables them to communicate respectfully, empathically, honestly, and authentically.

Individual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy can empower you to become more present and aware of your inner strengths, enabling you to fully embrace and enjoy your life.
I believe the relationship between my client and me is the most important component of individual psychotherapy, regardless of presenting issues. Accordingly, I work hard to establish an atmosphere of safety and comfort.

Group Therapy
Group therapy provides support by allowing members to explore issues deeply with the help of others who may provide new perspectives from their own experiences. Group members may also try new behaviors and get feedback in a safe, supportive environment.

Mindful Meditation
The definition of the word mindfulness is to be fully present in the moment without judgment.
This is a lot easier said than done, and to be mindful all the time is not realistic, so the idea is to create a practice.
